Linzi Day writes humorous contemporary fantasy. Her books feature a woman old enough to know better, magical complications she definitely didn’t ask for, and more ancient bureaucracy and responsibilities than seems fair.

The Midlife Recorder series is set in and around Gretna Green, Scotland, with strong friendships, found family and three-dimensional characters you feel you could have coffee with.

Before writing fiction, Linzi worked as a journalist and later ran businesses for (too) many years. She started publishing novels in her sixties, which turned out to be a very good age to begin making things up professionally.
