What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Merrie Costello I absolutely love meeting the people who buy the book. I can't believe all the stories I have heard about why they liked it and who they are buying it…moreI absolutely love meeting the people who buy the book. I can't believe all the stories I have heard about why they liked it and who they are buying it for. I love it when elementary teachers recommend it too - that makes me feel like I have created something good for children. My favorite story was when a woman who had recently lost their family dog said she had really needed to hear me read the book at story hour because it included a part about a rainbow, and her dog had crossed the rainbow bridge.(less)
