KIERSTEN MICHELE is an author and bookworm who spends her mornings, evenings, weekends, and in-between times reading. She grew up on mysteries, fantasies, historical fictions, and any other story that would take her on an adventure. Her love of reading turned into a love of writing, and she took that love to college and…got a PhD in counseling psychology. Plot twist. But when she’s not writing extremely fascinating academic articles, she’s creating stories to take her on more adventures.

Her books so far include The Mage War Chronicles, The Shadow Weaver's Gambit, and Dragon Gods.

When not tucked into her reading chair, she’s out adventuring in the real world, climbing rocks, hiking rocks, and taking way too many photos of rocks.

I'm also working on a solo spin-off which takes place in the same world as Mage Wars, but a new set of characters. It's an enemy-to-lovers, fantasy romance temporarily named "Project Firebird." “To anyone who’s felt rage deep enough to wake a dragon.”
Kiersten Michele, Dragon Gods

“Before I go," he said, and paused -- "I may kiss her?"

It was remembered afterwards that when he bent down and touched her face with his lips, he murmured some words. The child, who was nearest to him, told them afterwards, and told her grandchildren when she was a handsome old lady, that she heard him say, "A life you love.”
Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities

“Let that be a lesson to you: If you are too good and too quiet for too long, it will cost you. It will always cost you, in the end.”
Alix E. Harrow, The Ten Thousand Doors of January

“You can justify anything if you do it poetically enough.”
M.L. Rio, If We Were Villains

“I happen to believe every story is a love story if you catch it at the right moment, slantwise in the light of dusk[.]”
Alix E. Harrow, The Ten Thousand Doors of January

“Cats, I have found, seem to exist in more or less the same form in every world; it is my belief that they have been slipping in and out of doors for several thousand years. Anyone familiar with house cats will know this is a particular hobby of theirs.”
Alix E. Harrow, The Ten Thousand Doors of January
