I make specific time for the Fiction Novels so I have music lists that I turn on if I start to have issues to try and generate a mood based on what chapter I am working on. Or I may jump ahead and write something that happens later in the story to help get my mind focused on the road to the moment. (less)

The Joy and Sting of Being Read

Over ONE MILLION pages read on Kindle. What an incredible milestone. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I am honestly over the moon with how well An Unexpected Family has taken off and grown into my best seller. The love, messages, and heartfelt comments readers have shared about this little story have meant more to me than I can truly express.

"Fantastic

This book took me on a roller coaster ride of grief and family and all those things that families are. I felt like I was there with them. Once again fantastic. I would love to see more of their adventure together." Read more of this review »

"amazing!

Everything in a book I didn’t know I needed. The tension between the mains was amazing and the beautiful dance of love they had is so relatable. "

"So good

I think I cried more reading this than any other book, both sad and happy tears. Ava is very patient, helpful and understanding during a very rough situation.
Enjoy this HEA!"

“My mom says It’s apparently a requirement by our government that I attend school. But I looked it up and, in this state, it’s not required until I am eight which is in three weeks, so I have been going to school for two years when I didn’t have too.” Lanie said very sternly holding up two fingers which caught the woman off guard.
“So, I take it you’re not a fan of school?” the woman asks looking at this curious child in front her.
“I like making friends and playing outside but the rest is meh.” Lanie said waving her hand “My brother is the one who likes school. And I am pretty sure I can find some loopholes in the government’s laws. Even though my mom says I cant.”

“You know i didn’t like school when I was your age either” The woman said smiling.

“And you’re still here?” Lanie asked her eyes wide.

“No, I work here now.” the woman’s started to laugh “I left and came back.” She smiled.

“Wait let me get this right, you didn’t like school and you chose to work at a school?” Lanie asked as the woman nodded her head. “I don’t think you understand what not liking something means.”

“Lanie!” Ava said as she entered the office only hearing something that sounded rude. “I am so sorry she doesn’t have a filter.” Ava looked up and saw none other than Sara Lance standing in the office with her daughter and her eyes went straight to those ocean blue eyes. “Sara?”

“Wait, that’s a way cooler name. Tree Ninja.” TP says and looks at Kam, “How is it you didn’t come up with that when we first met?” She looks back to Drew “You have my permission to call me Tree Ninja.”
