I am the author of Amsterdam in Ultramarine, a time-bending thriller that blends history, mystery, and speculative science. Set against the atmospheric backdrop of Amsterdam, the novel explores a hidden world where ancient families manipulate time, immortality comes at a cost, and the past refuses to stay buried.

With a lifelong fascination for how technology, power, and belief systems shape our world, I wrote this story to explore what happens when time itself becomes a currency-and a weapon.

This is my third novel.

I was looking out over the river Ij that flows through Amsterdam, and I was wondering - what if I had bought shares in the ships leaving for Indonesia back in the 1600s, with the knowledge that I have now of those that were successful and took out insurance on those that were not? What would it be like to travel through time like that?(less)
