Johan Sanctorum, geboren in Oostende op 23 juni 1954, is een Vlaams filosoof en publicist. Hij is vast columnist voor Doorbraak.be en publiceert al zijn teksten ook via dit blog.

Sanctorum studeerde filosofie en kunstgeschiedenis aan de Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Hij schreef zijn eindverhandeling bij Leopold Flam en was in de jaren ’80 uitgever/hoofdredacteur van het filosofisch tijdschrift ‘O’.

Na omzwervingen in het theater en de muziekpedagogie dook het schrijfvirus terug op. Zopas publiceerde de Belgische Staatsveiligheid haar jaarlijks ‘Intelligence Report’, waarin de dreigingen worden opgelijst waaraan de natie zich blootstelt. Overzichtelijk en volgens categorieën. Vijanden van de staat dus. Ik ben een gedreven lezer van dit soort documenten, al was het maar om te zien of ik er zelf niet onder val.
