Stephen King was my college writing teacher, and I've published the Zack Taylor mystery series, other novels, over a hundred short stories, story collections, articles, poetry, and non-fiction. My stories have been published in a number of anthologies with other writers.

I've appeared on stage, television, and in an independent feature film, and co-wrote and acted in a short political satire film. On Jeopardy, I lost in a spectacular fashion. I've traveled to all 50 states, Mexico, Canada, and through Europe. I can be reached at www.daletphillips.com

I've always loved stories that explained something about the world- they help me to understand and cope. So I'd work on telling stories that I'd want to hear. Sharing stories is how we connect with other humans, starting from the first campfires of cavepeople. We share our journey, and accompany them on journeys that they have taken. So many great writers have moved me with the power of their words. Being a writer is being a magician, one who can travel through space and time. Through my words, I speak to people not even born, and through their words, I access the thoughts and wisdom of those long dead. What power! I write to move the reader, to give an effect that makes us more human. Maybe it's corny, but I see writing as a noble calling, and a craft we can never perfect.(less)
Dale T. Phillips I usually have more than one project going at a time, so when hitting a wall on one thing, write something else. Keeping going is the key.

One Million Views and a Barnes and Noble Signing

Well, we've passed a milestone here on this blog, shooting past the one million views mark.

So many people paying attention.

That's kind of amazing, considering I don't do marketing, just promotion.

A big thank you to everyone who's come to view my ramblings.

So for all those Indie writers who claim they cannot get into bookstores, here's some pics from my latest foray, at the Hingham Barnes and No
