I also had Grandma and she did two amazing things for me. She told me stories of her own and she listened to mine. I’d sit at the table in her warm kitchen and kick my toes under my chair because my feet didn’t yet touch the floor. When I listen to that good advice and do the work that's needed the block usually disappears. Of course sometimes writer's block is simply telling me I need a rest. It's wise to listen to that advice too. (less)

I fall down into it like Alice falling down the rabbit hole and experience one adventure after another right along with my characters. Then I write those adventures down and invite my readers to jump into my story and experience it with me. This is the best of Wonderland every time.(less)

Have You Lost Your Mind?

Have You Lost Your Mind? Not another argument. Please. Raised voices. Angry faces. Nothing gained. We have been here before. My husband Jonathan and me, toe to toe, like the roosters in the painting that flared from our living room wall before we boxed up everything we own to move west.

The Enterprise we were Contemplating was Absurd. Relocation from New York City, where we had first relocated
