HIDDEN BRILLIANCE: UNLOCKING THE INTELLIGENCE OF AUTISM is out! We set out to write a loving, respectful, helpful and supportive book for parents and educators, one that never forgets the value and importance of diversity in our community, and I'd like to think that we succeeded. Please check it out https://hidden-brilliance.org/

The Washington Post says: "But even those outside of that audience who would also benefit from reading it, including autistic former children (present), parents of autistic adults and, for that matter, autistic adults who have thought about having children."

Then write every day and lose yourself in the act of writing without worrying about the future of what you write--when you have something you like, you can send it out and hope for the best. Do you want to be famous? That's definitely a longshot for any writer (I've been doing this for almost two decades and I'm still not famous.) It's going to be tough to stay motivated if that's your goal. But I'm guessing it's more that you love to read and to write so just do what you love to do and don't worry about whether or not it will sell. Just enjoy being creative. And don't read anything about the industry or about how many books are out there--it'll just make you crazy. This is about you and only you and being creative. Good luck!(less)

I'm finishing up a YA novel (I haven't sold this one yet, so I don't know if it will ever see the light of day, but I hope so) and then I feel like I want to go back to adult fiction. I'm also waiting to hear about another adult project that's being sent out now, but it makes me nervous to talk about it. :)(less)
