Author and artist Jordan Castillo Price writes paranormal sci-fi thrillers colored by her time in the Midwest, from inner city Chicago, to various cities across southern Wisconsin. She’s settled in a 1910 Cape Cod near Lake Michigan with tons of character and a plethora of bizarre spiders. Any disembodied noises, she’s decided, will be blamed on the ice maker.

Jordan is best known as the author of the PsyCop series, an unfolding tale of paranormal mystery and suspense starring Victor Bayne, a gay medium who's plagued by ghostly visitations.

Essentially, he'd be a lot like Crash in certain ways.

The function of Crash in the series is not to provide relationship tension between Vic and Jacob, but rather to demonstrate what Vic might have been, had his life gone a different direction early on. The attraction between Vic and Crash has less to do with sex and more to do with mirroring. They see parts of themselves in each other, but in each case, it's the "path not taken" that they're yearning for, or at least curious about.

So as to going mad, no, that doesn't feel like Vic to me. He'd probably deny and minimize and play off the stuff he saw as being something less than what it was. No way would he have ended up as a cop. As a surly punk rocker, he hated the police on principle. He'd probably have ended up with a throwaway job that felt unsatisfying for reasons he didn't understand, and he'd take drugs more for recreation than escape.(less)

Jordan Price Urbanista wrote: "But I'm doing this! It's only write, cause I enjoyed the books SO. Much. "

I can't wait to hear what you think. A lot of times readers will send me a totally awesome email about something in one of my stories that touched them, and this email would easily make a fantastic review! I think there's something daunting about posting A Review in public.

Funny story, twelve years ago I left a review of a VCR on Amazon and for some reason (I got an email asking me a question about it and I'm like "what VCR? That was a million years ago") and I went back and looked and saw several people had marked the review as "unhelpful". I mean, really, get a life people.

Urbanista Oh dear. i apologize. I'm not good at writing reviews. Yet, I understand how important they are. So, I'm laboriously writing reviews of each Turbulence. It's going to take a while-- I was rereading them, then got distracted. And sicky.

I'm going to post my scatterbrained reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. I wish I was better at this. I'm a great reader who (despite four gruelling years of grad school) don't not ain't a writer. But I'm doing this! It's only write, cause I enjoyed the books SO. Much. It's only a few words of write, that I nonetheless want to be effective. And effusive.

Sorry I didn't write the reviews right after I gobbled up the books. That's the best way to do it. I'm on #4 in my OCD reread. Reviews are on the way, slowly but sholy.
