Happily married mother of 3. I enjoy fantasy romance with or without spice with a growing preference for spice-free reads.

Author of the award-winning young adult afterlife fantasy series, Spirited (14+), where redemption is a thing, and no one really dies.

I thoroughly enjoyed this conclusion of Emily Wilde’s fairy adventures with Wendell. I appreciated the return of some characters and found the ending satisfying. This series is definitely among my favorite whimsical reads!

This was exactly the kind of book I’ve been pining for. From the start, the tone was everything I could ask for in a cozy fantasy: lovely, descriptive writing, a curious main character on a quest, the certainty of the existence of faeries and, best o ...more

I almost gave up on this one because the character’s back stories were so sad, but I loved Water Moon so I came back to it. I’m glad I did. It’s brilliant.

The premise is clever, the imagery is beautiful, and the story has depth. The relationship bui

Thoughtful and well written, but out of synch with the book jacket’s description. At times, it felt like the author meant to write a commentary on the church’s role in matters of social justice but shied away from advertising it as such. It’s still a ...more

“I stared at it for so long, wondering why some people are saved by miracles and others aren't. Why chemotherapy works for some but didn't work for my mom.”
S.M. Webb, Spirited: No Accidents

“It's almost laughable. She acknowledges she isn't nice to people but makes no apology for it. Then she tacks on an instruction to not be sensitive. This is vintage Cassidy, and I'll never understand it.”

“I see a strong woman who watched her whole world crumble around her and rose from the rubble.”
L. Meredith, For the Love of Art

“All relationships have moments where it feels easier to walk away than stay and work on it. Sure, you can find a new one, but there will still be problems.”
