He met Quanah Parker, the last war chief of the …moreMy great grandfather left home in North Carolina at the age of 18 and traveled to Texas in the 1880s. He met Quanah Parker, the last war chief of the Comanche there and went back to the Reservation in Oklahoma with him. He lived with the Comanche for many years and was adopted into the tribe. I have often wondered how life was back then, but by the time I knew about this my relatives who would have been able to answer my questions were gone. So, I have bits and pieces of family history, research, and my imagination... and I'm writing the story this mystery inspired now. I hope to release in in the fall.(less)

My favorite couple is Joe Chandler and Matilda Gable in my Ordinary Days in Myrtle Hill series. They are an older couple and they aren't married yet but the relationship is strong and growing. They are nagging at me for a romance of their own. After being there for others they are ready for more than friends and neighbors.(less)
