This is something I picked up while doing my master's: if you read a ton, you'll learn a ton, and then you'll be able to write a ton. The best part is that as you write your own stories, you'll naturally draw from what you've learned.
If you have trouble learning as you read, keep a notebook and mark passages that stand out to you so you can come back to them and learn the patterns of your favorite authors. (less)

Neumaier I have two primary works in progress: The first and closest to release is a book titled "Blessing" (for now) that follows the story of a young boy try…moreI have two primary works in progress: The first and closest to release is a book titled "Blessing" (for now) that follows the story of a young boy trying to rid himself of an evil spirit that has latched onto him. I'm in the process of editing it right now.
The second is the sequel to Guardians of Aranor: Rebirth, and it has a long way to go, but I am excited about it.
Some side projects include an epic poem with my own mythology and world, and there are ideas brewing for a story about pegasus/alicorn riders.(less)
