Jonathan Treadway is the pseudonym of Jennifer Swanson, who lives with her family in northern Massachusetts, very close to New Hampshire. Jen has a professional job doing market analysis during the day and writes in the evenings and on weekends whenever she can. Her stories focus on the romance between two men and all the trials gay men have to survive in order to have a healthy, happily-ever-after (or for now) relationship. To her there's nothing sexier than two men exploring each other physically and emotionally as they fall in love.

I'm a crafty person and I can lose myself for hours either quilting or making cards. If I'm really stuck, I'll talk to a friend or three about the plot to get some other ideas.(less)

I'm baaaaaack!

Just got some great news that Dreamspinner Press accepted my time travel short story. It will be part of the Daily Dose package in June, and is called POP Goes the Time Traveler. I'm so excited! My New Year's resolution for 2012 was to publish at least two stories, so I'm half way there.

I am working on several fun projects right now. I had a story returned by Dreamspinner asking me to expand it as

Jane Austen
“The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.”
Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey

Z.A. Maxfield
“I think it's romantic," she said mostly to Edward. "Cursed to live their lives in the shadows, to be together only under the cover of darkness... hiding their love from the sunlight."

"They're gay, honey," said Emma, "not vampires.”
Z.A. Maxfield, Crossing Borders

J.D. Robb
“For once, he slept first. She lay in the dark, listening to him breathe, stealing a little of his warmth as her own body cooled. Since he was asleep, she stroked his hair.

"I love you," she murmured. "I love you so much, I'm stupid about it."

With a sigh, she settled down, closed her eyes, and willed her mind to empty.
Beside her, Roarke smiled into the dark.

He never slept first.”
J.D. Robb, Ceremony in Death

Hey William, I'm a huge fan! What can I say? I'm addicted but having a blast. I'm trying to cut down on reading so that I can write more. I've got 5 stories going at the moment, none close to being finished. LOL

I just got my Kindle 2 and it's chock full of books, but only those in Kindle format; I still have many books in PDF that I need to convert so the total will climb...Too bad I work for a living, but then I wouldn't be able to afford my habit.

It's certainly addicting -- you don't feel guilty spending $4 on a book and they read pretty quickly, then you're hungry for more! I just need to stop all my other hobbies before I go broke...

Why thank you, Sloan! LOL Reading is my thing and I read fast. At least my retirement money is being taken out of my paycheck first so I'll have some money in the future, since I spend so much on books! It's also a list from all ~hrmm~ years I've been reading...

Leaundra Jonathan, thanks so much for the add. I always love meeting other people who have a habit like myself. The only thing I don't do is write but I'll leave that to you authors. lol That way I will always have lots of time to read...Take care...Leaundra

Williammaltese Good God, Jonathan! All of those books read, while I struggle along, lately, only able to read my own manuscripts and proof galleys (booooooring!). And, while I had hope that I might have a spare moment, somewhere up the line, it looks as if that isn't going to happen. So, for the moment, just color me envious of all the books you've been able to read and are reading. My pleasure!
