Eva Moon is an author, humorist, songwriter, playwright, screenwriter, performer, and former Huffington Post blogger. Her plays and musicals have been staged across the US and UK, and her solo musical show, “The Mutant Diaries: Unzipping My Genes” is streaming on Amazon. Her screenplay HOUSE ODDS was a Page Awards finalist and was optioned. If I open the file, read one page, and make one note or change, I've satisfied my MVA and I give myself permission to stop and call it a win. Of course, once I start, it never stops there. Starting is the key. The rest will take care of itself. I also have a writing group that meets to just write for two hours every week. I know that I have to show up and write, even if it's just garbage. It seldom is.(less)

People often ask me why I’m so fascinated by Pinocchio. I’ve written a play and now, a novel about him. I don’t feel that I chose Pinocchio so much as he chose me.
