Joe Hopkins Bio

J. M. Hopkins is a native Memphian who was probably always a writer at heart.

However, being married with a family and earning a living, being a working musician, and other real-life concerns delayed his start as an author until about three years ago, in late 2021.

Joe was the Technical Director at the Pink Palace Museum and Planetarium for several years before moving to Florida. He worked and consulted in all areas of planetariums for the next twenty-plus years.

For decades, people told me I should write. I never did because I hated the task of putting pencil to paper. My life was full with other things, so I had plenty of creative outlets available to satisfy my need for such.
