Get My Book, Write an Honest Review

So, I just noticed there are ZERO text reviews for Heather's Redemption. This is disappointing. Though it's technically the sequel to Resignation, it can be read as a stand-alone story. Would you like to review it? Comment below and I'll send you a free copy, but here's the catch:
all reviews must be TEXT reviews
all reviews must be honest (I can take it)
all reviews must be posted to Goodreads by 2/14/15.
Think of it as your Valentine gift to me. ;-)

Reading Resolution for 2013

For whoever pays any attention to my reviews, I'm going to work on something new this year. I started reading Romance just a few years ago (roughly 2008) and it has taken over my life as a reader. However, I've always been a fan of horror, historical fiction, fantasy, and literature. So this year I've decided to be more aware of the genres I'm reading. My goal for the year is 125 books. I'm going to split those up by genre as well. I'll post the numbers later, after I figure them out. ;-)

Book Signing Tour

I'm always a little afraid to claim I'm "on tour". To me, a tour constitutes at least ten dates in cities all over the country. Well, I'm not doing that. I do have two confirmed stops and another tentative. Plus, I have two that have said I'm welcome back since my last one (3 years ago) was so successful. So, five does not necessarily a tour make, plus four of them are in the Houston metropolitan area. One confirmed date is in Dallas.
Does anyone in Austin or San Antonio want to meet me? Seriously, I love road trips. Just let me know. ;-)

Reasearch? Sigh...

So, I have a really good book idea running around in my head. The main characters have already begun their incessant dialogue, telling me to sit down and tell their story. The problem is I'm lazy when it comes to research, and this one might be a doozy. We'll see. I'm dreading what is to come but know once I start I'll love it.

When I was a student, many years ago, I didn't mind doing research for literary purposes. I actually enjoyed it. I think becoming a mom and losing a lot of "me" time is definitely the reason I groan at the thought of research now. I think I just might have to turn my teenager into my research assistant. Especially since she is better at finding info online than I am.

Okay, here is the teaser: it's a vampire novel. No, don't roll your eyes and say "another one?!". I promise this one will be different from anything I've read. And I read a lot. Now, is anyone out there a hematologist?

I Thought I Knew...

At the beginning of June when I decided a Birthday Blog Tour would be a cool idea, I did a very little bit of research into blogs. There are a number of blogging sites out in cyberspace and I didn't know a darn thing about most of them. I asked around and decided to go with the one many other authors seem to prefer. Everything seemed to be going fine when I activated it through my web-hosting site. I chose a theme and did a test blog. I was happy. Now, not so much. I broke my blog.

The question now is whether or not it's worth the trouble to fix it, start over with the same service or try something completely different. I'm not ashamed to admit when technology gets the best of me and the blog certainly did. I'm so confused right now I can barely check my email without cringing. What's a girl to do?

I want a blog that reflects me as an author. I'd like very simple instructions on how to make the header look like my unique blog and not everyone else's. Is that really too much to ask? Well, considering I still can't add HTML to my website...yeah probably.

So, for now I'll blog here for a while. It will probably consist of me ranting about my blogging issues or how impatient I am for Angela Knight and Gena Showalter to release their next books. You know...normal stuff.
