My name is Jamie Ford, and I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you all, and explain how I got into writing. This may start off sounding like a sob story, but I assure you, it is nothing of the sort.

You see, I have not had the best of luck when it comes to my health. I was once a fork lift truck driver and I loved that job. I was good at it. But something happened to me which I had not anticipated, I began having seizures.

I underwent numerous testing to find out what was wrong, my thoughts were merely that it was epilepsy. I was having seizures almost every day and they showed no sign of slowing down, I was no longer able to drive the fork lift and was forced out of the job.

Hi, Jamie. This isn't actually a "question," I simply felt the need to respond to your story on how you became a writer. I, too, suffer with a chronic disease. I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease. To put it quite simply, my spine is crumbling. Anyway, I wanted to say "Thank You!" for sharing your story.
