Filling your own cup first and other relationship advice

I had the pleasure of chatting with Sarah Ezrin about her book The Yoga of Parenting: Ten Yoga-Based Practices to Help You Stay Grounded, Connect with Your Kids, and Be Kind to Yourself for The Sunday Stretch not too long ago. I hope you enjoy as much as I enjoyed her book!

Non-Violence or Ahimsa with MC Yogi

In the first episode of the Living It podcast we talked to Spiritual Graffiti: Finding My True Path author and hip-hop artist MC Yogi about his story from living in a group home for at-risk youth to becoming a renowned yoga teacher and musical innovator.

We talked about his turbulent childhood and how he changed his own self-destructive behavior, the role grace played, using discipline, discernment and devotion as guides and preconceived ideas of what hip hop is and how MC Yogi is using it for inspiration. Tune in! You can find the episode on iTunes, Google Play, SoundCloud. For links or more info visit livingitpodcast.com.

Upcoming guests include wonderful authors and soon-to-be authors: MC Yogi, Dianne Bondy, Michelle C. Johnson, Susanna Barkataki, Jenn Pastiloff, Petra Kolber, Mo Gawdat, Kino Magreggor, Mari Andrew and Abby Maslin. Join us!

Ask Us Your Yoga Questions

Amy and I are working on the second season of the Living It podcast. The ten-episode season focused on the yamas and niyamas will air in September.

In the meantime, we're doing a monthly minisode throughout the summer. For our August minisode we're answering reader's questions. All of which is the long way to ... if you have questions about the book, I'd love for you to submit them. To send us your yoga questions by the end of July you can record a voice memo on your phone and email it to us at kelly AT livingitpodcast DOT com or call 202-525-6653 and leave a voicemail
