I used to write books in boarding school so the nuns could not get me to re-do my homework(I finished fast). But when I got older and started to fight with a typewriter, I lost interest. I have loved dogs, Arabian horses, classical music and am an avid reader. How I came to write my book when I was so heartbroken at the end of the movie"The Phantom of the Opera" (yes, I cried, and cried,etc.) I figured the only way to have him find closure was my day dreams of what could have happened to him. was to write it myself. Thank the good Lord for computers. I wish they had been around in the 50's and 60's. My favorite genre's for reading are Historical-fiction or romance, Mystery, Thrillers, some biography, and WWII, Eastern Front, non-fiction or ...more

My book

I notice a lot of authors have read their own books, which I did too when it was published and given them a five star rating. I hesitate to do this for the reason that because i wrote something that I personally like, it does not mean everyone else will, plus it seems a bit over the top for me. I wrote you a comment a few minutes ago, advising you to make the reading of "The Deputy", by Rolf Hochhuth, a priority because it is excellent. (I read it 35 years ago.) The comment appeared below your entry on my RECENT UPDATES, and then, when I just went back to my my RECENT UPDATES, it was gone. Did I do something wrong, or is there something wrong with the Goodreads website? It makes no sense to spend time writing comments if they disappear
