Loved this book. Read it years ago and it has stayed with me. Ann Nietzke was a terrific writer. The writing is honest, heartfelt, plausible.

If you love noir, please pick up a copy of Dan Stuart's excellent Marlow's Revenge. Far superior to anything Raymond Chandler ever wrote.
I also absolutely recommend any of the five crime Factory UK noirs written by the late genius Derek Raymond.
