Words in Watchet

I made a practice run to Watchet ready for the Literary Festival this weekend and was surprised to spot poetry built into the harbour wall.
Apparently, Samuel Taylor Coleridge was inspired by Watchet Harbour and the Quantock Hills to write The Rime of the Ancient Mariner...
I completely missed the commemorative statue!

Kindle re-release!

The second edition of my book 'Escape & Betrayal' is now available on Kindle.
Paperback coming soon...

The second of my Athlandia stories:
Bryony is once more trapped in Kynbury Castle, a captive of her cousin Unwin, King of Athlandia.

When Unwin finally reveals his startling plans for her, Bryony is shocked and knows she must escape. An unexpected ally comes to her rescue but, even back amidst the security of her friends and family, Bryony discovers she is still not safe from the scheming of the King… And not everybody can be trusted…

Inspiring author

Having just read her book 'Fever: a Story from a Devon Churchyard', I was delighted to meet Liz Shakespeare at the North Devon County Show. Her diligent research and her ability to bring to life real people now long past is inspiring.
I look forward to read the books I bought from her.

Re Release!

I'm excited to be launching a 2nd edition of 'Blood & Allegiance' (the rest of my Athlandia Series to follow...)

The story is the same but it has small additions, chapter heading illustrations, some improved writing. I am, after all, older and, possibly, wiser!

It's available both in paperback and on Kindle.

I am looking forward to selling in person at a pannier market somewhere in Devon soon...

The ramblings of Annette Hart

Annette V Hart
I am having trouble uploading a decent photo of myself. I've found this is partly because I make sure I'm usually the person holding the camera!
In the meantime, I have added a lovely view of the field
