Based in Cambridge, New Zealand, Joanna (Jo) Butler is mother to pre-school twin girls and a giant ginger dog, and the wife of an Irishman (a happy coincidence given her love of Irish humour).

Writing is, and has always been, one of Joanna's greatest passions - but between mothering, working, wife-ing and netflix-ing, the writing process has to be delicately squeezed into the precious few minutes she has spare... no small feat.

Emma: Desperately Seeking Baby is Joanna's first novel, and is loosely based on her own experience of fertility treatment. With a healthy dose of humour throughout, Joanna takes a light hearted look at what is often a serious and heart-breaking subject.
