This is my first Runyan read and I really enjoyed this book! There were interesting characters, travel to places I'd love to go to, food (who doesn't love food), and a bit of romance. Using DNA for ancestry takes on a new meaning, when Veronica finds ...more |

There are so many new books that I've been trying to catch up on some of the older books on my shelves in between the new things. I truly think it may be time to revisit Sullivan's Island or Shem Creek by Dorothea Benton Frank. I miss her tales of the low country and the feisty folks therein.
Feisty Family Values named one of the "150 Best Kansas Books" by State Library of KS. I'm honored to be in the company of such noted authors as Sara Paretsky, Lois Ruby, Claire Vanderpool, Bevery Buller, and so many more. http://www.kslib.info/index.html Check out the entire list. WOW!
Hi Beth, Glad to connect. It's important for authors to support each other, writing is such a lonely business. And no one knows what a writer goes through except another writer. Take care & enjoy the journey. BD
