“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

I can't find, anymore, the book under which you put a statement along the lines of how impossible it is to sell an historical without a woman in it. It reminded me of my early days of trying to market my novel--I had to convince agents that an historical with a woman in it WOULD sell! And now, today, it's all you see. I guess I was at the crest of the wave. Fat lot of good it did me.
RichardLook forward to talking books and writing
