Christina Hwang Dudley is the author of clean historical and contemporary romance.

Her historical romances include the Hapgoods of Bramleigh and Ellsworth Assortment series of Regency romances, including THE NATURALIST and TEMPTED BY FOLLY.

In contemporary romance, her forthcoming PRIDE AND PRESTON LIN (Third State Books, 2024) riffs on Austen, but this time the story is set in the San Francisco Bay Area, with Asian American protagonists who hail from different ends of the economic spectrum.

I thought about Rosie, but she was so much younger that writing her story would take me later than my usual period. Which is not to say I never will, but... More likely I would make a short story and send it to my newsletter readers as a bonus. :)
There WILL be a coming-together of the Ellsworths and the Hapgoods, however, even tangentially, when I get to Beatrice Ellsworth's story. If you happen to notice in A Fickle Fortune, she is mentioned!(less)

The short answer is YES, I made a vow not to let another six years pass before I got on with it this time. I'm already kicking around ideas for Margaret's story and doing some research. Because she's only fifteen when SCHOOL FOR LOVE ends, a decent amount of time has to pass, and I've been mulling over what happens to everyone in the interim. Thank you again for your readership!(less)

Aww...my favorite Betty Neels in a long time. Yes, it's a mousy-haired English nurse and a rich Dutch doctor, but this time in the marriage of convenience she's determined to make him love her, and I found it delightful. If you like grumpy-sunshine, ...more

Another fascinating history from Dan Jones, getting behind the Shakespearean depiction of naughty youthful Hal and ice-in-his-veins Henry V. It made me want to watch The Hollow Crown all over again, though who knew Richard II was hardly a wispy fello ...more

“I had believed the Bible always, but reading it now had nothing to do with belief. It was simply a description of the way things were--of hell and heaven, of how men act and how God acts.”

Who knew? I wasn't aware the library even had a copy!

My sister and I used to love going to the Santa Clara library and checking out a modest stack of Regency romances. :)
