Do you want to write a book this year?

If one of your goals in 2016 is to start writing a book, finish a manuscript you’ve already been working on, or simply make your writing a bigger part of your life, then it’s time for us to talk.

When I started working on my first book almost 10 years ago, I didn’t expect that it would be easy, but I didn’t expect it would be quite so hard, either.

Because I quickly realized that it doesn’t really matter how much talent you have. Or how much experience you’ve already racked up.

Creative blocks, insecurities, and self-doubt can – and do – get to writers at all stages in their careers, from beginners to established authors.

The isolation that comes with writing can make you question whether you’re working on the right book. It can make you wonder if your idea is even any good, or make you question whether can pull it off the way you first envisioned your story coming together.

Starting a book can be the easiest part. Seeing it through to the end is where things can get challenging.

I know because I’ve been writing books since 2006 and I’ve learned that it doesn’t get any easier – unless you’re willing to face your fears, commit to your creativity, and push through no matter what.

That’s why I created the Call of the Word, a five-week journey that helps aspiring and established authors understand who they are as writers and puts them on a path to achieving their deepest creative goals.

My goal with this program isn’t to teach you how to write. Every writer needs to develop their own voice and style, and that’s not something that anyone can be shown how to do.

What the Call of the Word does is help writers who are struggling with the process of writing a book.

For five weeks, you’ll have me as your mentor and coach as you work through a customized program that I will create just for you.

We’ll tap into the power of tarot as an additional tool to help you understand the blocks, challenges, and opportunities as they relate to your writing.

If you struggle with:

- Feeling like you lack time or structure to write your book
- Isolation
- Doubt and insecurity
- Lack of inspiration
- Scattered focus
- Writer’s block or creative stuckage
- Uncertainty about your path as a writer

Then Call of the Word is for you. We’ll work together to move through these barriers and get you feeling inspired, committed, and confident about who you are as a writer and what you’re capable of.

This isn’t a cookie-cutter writing course. Every writer who works with me through Call of the Word gets customized coaching and assignments that I created just for you.

All authors are as unique as their writing styles, and I want to honour that through the Call of the Word.

Because I want to give you the most support throughout our time together as possible, I’m capping enrolment to just 10 writers.

When you allow yourself to work through your own uncertainty and insecurity about writing, you clear the way for creativity and inspiration.

You gain confidence is knowing that you can finish the book you’ve always wanted to write.

And you learn to trust that whenever you do start to question yourself as a writer, you’ll know what to do to overcome that doubt and keep going.

What you learn about yourself through the Call of the Word will do more than help you with your writing right now; it will support you on your journey as a writer for years to come.

Get all the details about when it's happening, how it works, what it costs, and how to register right here.

“Call of the Word is long-lasting, slow-acting medicine that stays in your blood stream long after the work is done. Weeks after the readings and the wisdom, they are still at work in my psyche and imagination. Call of the Word is powerful stuff. Do yourself and your work the honour of answering the Call. Liz Worth is doing great things.”

Island - from "Cooper's Dreams," episode 5

In a nightgown in the middle of the dance floor,
our eyes accustomed to
the red glow of a cigarette.
Tenderly hysterical,
the crowd an assailant --
can I dance laughing,
get all I want?
Moaning, you project a single part
of our future, cut with
fires, sprawling eyes.
At the edge of the room,
a risk staggers, crosses your side.
In here, the mind is loose,
creeps into your details.

Pagan - from "Cooper's Dreams," episode 5

The first time you
made love you
wanted to die,
spirit rising,
a search party
harbouring weaknesses.

Tempt the essential,
the hell of a
dark grove.
Go off, an exit disturbed,
a little lonely,
out of place.
Dense, your cry,
back up to the light,
correspond to the
legends of goodness,
a mournful way of life,
no luck, no quiet attention.

"O" - from "Cooper's Dreams," episode 5

I find the last remnants
of a connection in a low-rent version of
a harem room where the
song ends, begins again,
letting in more light.

Many things were blocked.
Now, mythos pops, scratches.
This is hard.
Ask now.

The mynah bird crashes, dark stains
on the wood.

Cabin - from "Cooper's Dreams," episode 5

Shut your eyes.
I see everything.
The wood holds many spirits.
Ask now and
be ready for the truth.
The owls won't see us.

I met the devil
in the form of fire,
a coward in the smoke.
I go to great lengths
to keep the ashes under control.
It takes its toll.

You're two days late
to burst into flames.
The mist is pressing in.

Search party - from "Cooper's Dreams," episode 5

Bird call precaution,
mournful in the dark grove.
The first time you
made love you
wanted to die.
Go back up to the light.
There is an essential spirit rising;
search party confirmed.
Stunned to cry, you tempt weaknesses,
a nightmare, degrading the goodness
in the world.
Solitary, you judge what the photograph buries.
You're not afraid, not afraid.

Mood swings - from "Cooper's Dreams," episode 5

Rise, start.
Now realize where we are:
a half circle where
the mood swings with a
slow sip of time.
A kiss, impulsive,
stricken with emerald.
I don't think you know
I left something hiding in there.
You really are good looking.
Become erratic, dead leather beauty.
This is different.

A widening - from "Cooper's Dreams," episode 5

I've got my heart set on
reluctant poems,
a rush of lies between us
wandering. Restless spirit,
I feel it:
head cropped, surgical
instruction in the ways of love.
I don't want us to be like that.
The red drapes from my dreams, they
say too much, the truth, or a memory.
In the woods, a widening
we can't prove yet.
The less you know, the better.

Everything's fine - from "Cooper's Dreams," episode 5

Drunk now
I half expect
to turn up dead,
too many secrets
to rush into.
You be careful
arguing her name;
those are hard thoughts,
twice paranoid.
Worse things could happen
to get to the end
of your life.
Maybe the time
isn't right.

Crosses - from "Cooper's Dreams," episode 5

I know what's between the pages:
snapshots and
the biggest mistake
of your life.
A bite of flesh, direct contact,
I told you no one's seen
into the cradle.
Girl, the blood on that shirt is an
imaginary word of dust and
silver crosses,
my touch out of frame for days.
Tell me, is anybody looking for you?
