Lydia M. Hawke is the author of bold urban fantasy for women who know their power. When worlds collide or apocalyptic disaster strikes, Lydia’s mature, magical heroines are more than capable of saving themselves–and the world. Her paranormal women’s fiction novel Becoming Crone has won multiple awards and was featured on Felicia Day’s Felicitations! Book Club Show.

Lydia makes her home in Canada where she spends her free time drinking what some would argue is too much coffee, thoroughly enjoying the grandparenting stage of life, caring for her collection of pets, and tending to her ever-evolving garden.

Her self-appointed mission in life is to reclaim the title of “crone” as a positive thing on behalf of all women of a certain age.

China Miéville
“A trap is only a trap if you don't know about it. If you know about it, it's a challenge.”
China Miéville, King Rat

“Real confidence has a realistic view of itself. It knows what it is capable of and not capable of. Real confidence does not need to overcompensate for anything, it doesn’t have to try harder to be more than what it already is. Real confidence does not beat itself up when it makes a mistake. Real confidence is secure enough to let someone else take the credit for something, without losing its own identity. Real confidence is humble. Real confidence recognizes its weaknesses and limitations, and is secure enough to admit when it is wrong."

'Living With Confidence: From Fear To Love”
Dan Pedersen

Dark Jar Tin Zoo
“If you have the woman you love, what more do you need? Well, besides an alibi for the time of her husband’s murder.
”
Dark Jar Tin Zoo, Love Quotes for the Ages. Specifically Ages 19-91.

Sheryl Sandberg
“When looking for a life partner, my advice to women is date all of them: the bad boys, the cool boys, the commitment-phobic boys, the crazy boys. But do not marry them. The things that make the bad boys sexy do not make them good husbands. When it comes time to settle down, find someone who wants an equal partner. Someone who thinks women should be smart, opinionated and ambitious. Someone who values fairness and expects or, even better, wants to do his share in the home. These men exist and, trust me, over time, nothing is sexier.”
Sheryl Sandberg, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead

Jarod Kintz
“Love is a circular emotion that surrounds you, like a hug. Or a noose.”
Jarod Kintz, Love quotes for the ages. And the ageless sages.
