Writing This Book Was Not Cute or Easy

People think writing a book is this magical, aesthetic process.

Let me tell you the truth.

I wrote parts of What Now, Mama? with tears in my eyes.

I stopped mid-chapter more times than I can count because the memories hit too hard.

I second-guessed every page.

I didn’t write it to be impressive.

I wrote it to be useful.

I wrote it so moms wouldn’t have to piece together their first year from rando
