Mushrooms for all Seasons 4-part series!
My 4-part series titled 'Mushrooms for all Seasons is now available at Lulu! The e-book format is also available at other online retailers and the paperback will also be widely distributed soon.
The series covers comprehensive biology, ecology, history, and nutritional information for the most popular edible mushrooms from western Canada, North America and beyond. The mushrooms are apportioned into 4 different books corresponding to the different seasons, and there are classical as well as modern recipes that go with them. Right now it's summer time, so you could, for example, check out Part 2 and chapters on button mushrooms, chanterelles, summer truffles, lobster mushrooms, and more.
I hope that you can encourage indy authors by buying direct, in this case at:

Anthology published!
Disenentia Nova, my anthology of sci-fi short stories is now available at Lulu:
http://www.lulu.com/shop/richard-wind...
It will shortly be distributed to all of the major outlets, but you don't have to wait.
Everyone has their own idea about how the world ends. But have you considered:
What were the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse like as children?
Would Earth really rush to rescue a doomed alien world?
How can you atone for wiping out the race that created you?
Whatever happened to the Humans, anyway?
Find out inside - you might discover a new ending!

Free stories at my site
Getting closer to self-publishing a collection of my sci-fi and fantasy short stories. The collection will be titled 'Desinentia Nova' (Latin for 'New Endings'). To whet your appetite, there are three free selections available at my website ( http://www.richardwinder.ca ). Two (Absolution, Judgement Day) are short stories and one (Tower of Rabble) is a novella. Enjoy! -RSW

Current projects
Stella is published! I am now writing the first chapters of the novel that comes after Stella, to be titled Stephen. I also plan to write a third book in the series, tentatively titled Stranger. The release of the Horizons anthology is also pending; a few cosmetic changes are underway before we let it out of the gate.
Also in work, I plan to finish several more short stories for another anthology I will call The Abridged Terror War III. These stories take place at some undefined point more than a century into the future, during a period of approximately 50 years of turmoil. They follow a loose thread of indirectly connected events and probe the impacts of TWIII on society, bringing human bravery and folly into stark relief. Some tales are dark, some are funny, and some are just plain difficult to categorize. That's war. The stories will include Element 15, The Extremist (previously published), Journeyman's Lesson (previously published), Searching for Dr. Steigelmann, The Sayward Incident, Death Sentence, Trail of Destruction, Ice-Blooded, Deadly Exposure, and Murder on the Falcon.
I am also working on another collection that I call Disenentia Nova ('New Endings'), which will include my short stories concerning different ways worlds could end and/or change. The worlds described are sometimes global, sometimes personal, but often they are both! D.N. will include some tales I already published, plus many not yet released. I have one more short story to complete for D.N., to be titled The Dispossessed. You can see the cover for D.N. here:

Finally, I'm about half-way finished with a tale called Beyond 550, about a trip to the edge of the solar system, seeking to use the Sun as a gravitational lens to locate an interstellar distress call. What's the point working in linear fashion when there are so many ideas to scribble down!
