The idea of interacting with adults made me choose the field. My experience of teaching deepens my understanding of people, but only has a ripple effect on what I write. I think I’m influenced more by what I read in my youth. I was fascinated in the classical literature and still enjoy old-fashioned themes, such as life and death, love and hate, as well as human conditions. There are too many writers to name… Reading their stories, I imagined the lives of the characters and experiences I didn’t have. I read some contemporary fiction and am willing to get inspired. :-) I guess curiosity about other human beings is my initial inspiration for writing human stories.(less)

The same here, Carolyn, for accepting it. I enjoy your headshot--a cute creature wearing thick glasses that match with the large number of books you've read.
