This is how I approach all writing projects, so I've never really had to deal with dreaded writer's block. All the main plot points, and most of the minor ones, were established long before I ever put pen to paper, so it's just been a matter of connecting the dots.(less)

The Lonely Forgotten Sun of God is missing, while a following grows in her absence. Wulf leads an underground resistance constantly dogged by the new Sin-Eater, as Ivy heads deep into Kaldera in search of the Zombie Pistoleer.
And, as the armies of Heaven and Earth trample the land, the Garm search for the one item that will unleash the Beast on what is left of mankind.(less)

“Deep in the ravines where He sleeps
three Maids for four secrets keep
For where virtue warms the worm
the meek, the weak, the sneaks, and the freaks
shall disport in the hurting dirt
—the Seven Suffragans’ Slut”
Daniel Scott Westby, Lie by the Sword: Fimbulvetr - Book Two

“Plaag’s appearance and the virus’ spread had been a godsend — a distraction that kept Wulf
one step ahead of the memories of his loss of Sarah.”
Daniel Scott Westby, Goblin Winter: of Puppet Kings and Telling Sins

“Something about the sickness he followed promised redemption. Something about the quest for the man he later knew as Pestilence, and later yet as Plaag, overshadowed the shame of his memories. And so he followed, heading toward the horizon instead of away from it for the first time in years.”
Daniel Scott Westby, Goblin Winter: of Puppet Kings and Telling Sins

“What happened to fantasy for me is what also happened to rock and roll. It found a common denominator for making maximum money. As a result, it lost its tensions, its anger, its edginess and turned into one big cup of cocoa.”
Michael Moorcock

“Seek freedom and become captive of your desires. Seek discipline and find your liberty.”
Frank Herbert, Chapterhouse: Dune

“Absolute power does not corrupt absolutely, absolute power attracts the corruptible.”
Frank Herbert

“The mystery of life isn't a problem to solve, but a reality to experience.”
Frank Herbert, Dune

“The real Dumas was imprisoned by Librans ages ago in an unlaid chicken's egg. I fed the hen to the alligators myself. Slow digestion in a cold-blooded belly was always said to be his fate.
— Melchylor Slayd”
Daniel Scott Westby, Wind of Chains: Fimbulvetr - Book One
