When I come to an impasse in my story I relax and let anything flow. Sometimes this is the best way to discover a whole new plot twist or aspect of my characters. This isn't always the case. Editing will smooth out whatever erroneously develops, but for the most part, I let the process lead the way, not overthinking which can also lead to overwriting.(less)

While it takes a lot of work (for example, editing out nine hundred words for every thousand you write) the end result is incredibly rewarding. Bringing tangible characters that your readers relate to and engaging them in that world makes writing the next best thing to playing god! (less)

The First Book of Calamity Leek by Paula Lichtarowicz: Wild, Weird and Wonderful

I was provided a complimentary Advance Reader Copy of this novel by Flatiron Books. Nevertheless, this review, as with all my reviews, is completely honest and objective.

The beginning pages of The First Book of Calamity Leek stretch the reader's ability to grasp the world in which the main character, Calamity Leek, lives. We know she is part of a group of young girls, that she appears to live in a Read more of this blog post »

Jesse Hanson Thanks for adding me to your friends list, Lee. Wishing you all success.
Hope you will consider my spiritual allegory, Song of George: Portrait of an Unlikely Holy Man for your reading list. Although fiction, it's inspired by my personal life. Namaste, jesse

Donald Parker Hi Lee
Thanks for the friend invitation. What an honor for me! I'd be further honored if you would check out my work at http://donaldJamesParker.com If you see something there you'd like to read, I'd be glad to send you free ebook copies.
God bless!
Donald
PS: I see you read a Jeff Gerke book. I'm going to interview Jeff on my blogtalk radio show sometime in the near future. Also you don't show up as an author on your page with a Fan button. I think you need to someone designate yourself as an author on this site.

SassyMama Hello, Lee...WELCOME to goodreads...and thanks for the invite...best of luck with any/all your future writings...looking forward to sharing chats, reviews and any/all recommendations...have a blessed week...and Happy Reading & Writing :-)
