Nick Horvath is the creator of SLEDGE: brutal anti-hero of the hard-science action-noir SLEDGE-VERSE.

Raised in the frozen wilds of Minnesota, Nick studied Physics and English at Duke before embarking on a 12-year odyssey as a professional athlete. Towering at 6-foot-10, 240 pounds, Nick transformed himself from finesse player to bruising enforcer—a relentless grind that directly inspired his modern-day gladiator.

Currently operating out of New Zealand, he teaches physics and explores the violent collision between raw force and cosmic malevolence while plotting blood-soaked takedowns of shadowy syndicates.

He has not, to date, bludgeoned anyone to death with a hammer.

The LitRPG action book Sledge vs. The Labyrinth by Nick Horvath is my very first dive into the LitRPG genre, and I liked it even though it is brutal to the core. Overall, the book is a quick read because the action flows relentlessly " Read more of this review »

"Tons of fun. Suspend disbelief when you start this book because some of the action is outrageously unrealistic, but it’s a blast!"
Sledge vs. The Labyrinth by Nick Horvath
"I really enjoy it when an author has a clear idea for what the book is and just goes balls to the wall having a blast with it. That's what Horvath did here with Sledge. It is just ridiculous 80s-esque hardboiled anti-hero fun. This is a book that wou" Read more of this review »

“Sledge stays in the shadows while keeping an eye on everything”

“Roman was handed a walk-on spot on York’s basketball team, where, according to Shawn, he slithered so far up Coach X’s ass that every time Roman jerked off it gave Coach X a runny nose.”
