What I wrote for WICKED AUTHORS in July 2021

10 DAYS: A DEE ROMMEL MYSTERY
Dee Rommel, the protagonist of my debut crime/mystery novel, is a policewoman on medical leave from the Portland (Maine) Police Department. Her recent, devastating on-duty injury was life-changing and now she’s rebuilding her health and her psyche. The challenge I gave myself was to compose a character, nearing thirty, who is absolutely intent on justice - but her self Read more of this blog post »

Suzye Marino Hi Jule,

Miss my screenwriting classes with you in California. Moved back to Texas last year. I am writing a four book series titled "One Mother of a Porn Star," Nancy Turner aka. It is a true story about Debbie Austin's life and the abuse she and her two children have gone through. I agreed to write it because abuse is so commonplace in today's world. Debbie's struggle is compelling, true, and she hopes that other abuse victims will find the courage to come forward and "Shine the light of Truth on their Abuser(s)." I used an aka to protect Debbie and her children's identity.
