Currently obsessed with late Georgian/ early Victorian culture, the subject of several of my novels, and with 1950s Britain for my Mirabelle Bevan murder mystery series set across the UK - and even one in Paris. When I started writing my books, you didn't hear so much about Young Adult as a genre. It was only recently when a young family member of mine was having a look at my old paperbacks and commented, "I like your YA books, aunt Sara!" that I realised they'd be categorised that way nowadays.
