The longer answer is: Tricia Broderick and I knew we had a lot of experiences and interests in common, and we'd been encouraged to write a book. We began with a few conversations, then created an initial outline and book proposal. The outline changed many times over the course of our writing and receiving feedback from reviewers. As it morphed we liked the direction we were heading more and more. Eventually, the book settled into what made the most sense and we worked on refining that content. It took about two years all together, to go from initial conversations to publication. (less)
