Jane Carlile Baker's Scotch-Irish American roots drew her to roam Ireland first in search of Nellie Cashman's generosity and integrity and then Quinn and Fallon O'Sullivan's family history. But Baker also discovered the mystery, magic and beauty of her homeland.

Jane's written four biographies. Only Toughnut Angel, about the true heroine, Nellie, has an Irish background. Baker also co-authored a guide to walking with God through the Covid pandemic and his biography, a history of the Civil Rights movement, with her friend Charlie Crane. Baker's first novel, Rogue Wave, began the Seascape Saga, and Rogue Irishman her third novel; continues the series. Ireland and Famiky This book made me think about the importance of not judging people. And I love noticing the differences in Irish and American vocabulary. The history also delights my soul, and Colum is a terrific poverty character.

Should Have Found a Good Editor This story line was strong, but the structure needs work. A good editor could have turned a rocl into a diamond.

A Dedicated Woman I love time-swap novels like this one. The historical detail is fun qnd the varying modes of art are compelling. Women breaking their glass ceilings is the icing on the cake. cake.

This book answers what happened to the Survivors of the sinking if the Titanic. Connolly puts the reader in the freezing North Atlantic and shows us valor in action.
