Jane Carlile Baker's Scotch-Irish American roots drew her to roam Ireland first in search of Nellie Cashman's generosity and integrity and then Quinn and Fallon O'Sullivan's family history. But Baker also discovered the mystery, magic and beauty of her homeland.

Jane's written four biographies. Only Toughnut Angel, about the true heroine, Nellie, has an Irish background. Baker also co-authored a guide to walking with God through the Covid pandemic and his biography, a history of the Civil Rights movement, with her friend Charlie Crane. Baker's first novel, Rogue Wave, began the Seascape Saga, and Rogue Irishman her third novel; continues the series.
