We say that nonfiction is true and fiction is made up. In a sense, that's true However, most fiction writers I know create their characters from compostes of people they've met or at least have the characters do things they've seen done. So in that sense, fiction is also true. Since I was a child, I'e learned from reading fiction what life is like. That's not to say I dson't learn what life is like from reading nonfiction. It's just more fun for me in the fiction arena.
