Victoria Olsen has read The God of the Woods by Liz Moore (Goodreads Author)	Error rating book. Refresh and try again. Rate this book Clear rating 1 of 5 stars 2 of 5 stars 3 of 5 stars 4 of 5 stars 5 of 5 stars
Intricately crafted mystery across timelines and points of view-- with a vivid setting in the Adirondacks. Moore makes it seem easy but she manages all that complexity and still lands a satisfying ending.

Not really a mystery or a thriller, but a suspenseful drama about two parallel women spiritualists and their precarious Victorian world. Both women are strong and flawed, and the writing is very accomplished. Highly recommend!

A highly accomplished romantasy, with slightly older or more world-weary characters than the usual YA leads.

Well done-- suspenseful and twisty but also thoughtful about the long con and the relationship between two women, both marked by the past.
