I try to capture the visceral, gritty writing of Ben Kane, the incredible historical detail of Harry Sidebottom, the epic scale of Conn Iggulden, and the brilliant sense of military camaraderie you find in Simon Scarrow's work. I also draw a massive amount of inspiration from David Gemmell's multi-POV epics, which heavily influenced how I wanted to structure my own storytelling."(less)
