West Virginia native Ed Davis recently retired from teaching writing full-time at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. He has also taught both fiction and poetry at the Antioch Writers’ Workshop and is the author of the novels I Was So Much Older Then (Disc-Us Books, 2001) and The Measure of Everything (Plain View Press, 2005); four poetry chapbooks.; and many published stories and poems in anthologies and journals. His unpublished novel The Psalms of Israel Jones won the 2010 Hackney Award for the novel, and his full-length poetry collection Time of the Light will be released in November 2013 from Main Street Rag Press. Shutting Down


Hosting a website for the past decade or so has been a grand experiment—and mostly a pleasurable one. However, if my writing “career” has taught me anything, it’s that change is inevitable. Publishers close their doors, editors move on and, saddest of all, fellow writers, on whom I’ve depended for their friendship and critical acumen, pass from this world.
