“The original Gothic horror tales focused on personalities deformed through loneliness. Ghouls, vampires, werewolves: all made, not born. But the isolation? Are even such as these ever truly alone? Perhaps the psyche has always been more complex than that, desire eternally more potent than terror. Surely, none prowl entirely in solitude.”

Thank you for adding me as a friend. I hope to become more active in Literary Darkness once things begin to calm down with my college work. I have a copy of The Shore that I hope to read when I get the opportunity as well. I can definitely relate being from the Jersey Shore! I will be interested in keeping up with book and writing discussions!
Who! What! Where! Yeah yeah I know, those need a question mark, but you know me... I'm gonna exclaim, raise my tone like a crazed dolphin chasing summer interns at Sea World for sardines... Hey hey Robert, what's shakin? Hope that book is bookin, and the pizza boxes are stackin up, next to the coffee cups, and anything else that piles up while unleashing the goodstuff on that next opus of yours! Just checkin up on you my dear...Hugs & Hisses!

Thanks, Chad. Wishing you the same. That's right -- it's still the New Year, isn't it? The weather has been so harsh, I feel like we're six months into winter.
Thank you so much. WILLY is such a strange and personal work -- it means a lot to me when people respond to it. It's good to meet you.Rob
Robert,Thanks for letting me in! I'm looking forward to the discussions on Literary Darkness.

Robert, I finally read The Vampire Tapestry which you had added to my Best Vampire Horror Novels list a while back and at your recommendation. I have to give you a big thanks for suggesting it! It is really one of the finest novels of the genre that I have read so far! Thanks so much for suggesting it to me! It is one I am sure I will return to again in the future and will recommend to others.

Thanks for accepting my friendship, Robert. I love reading horror and thriller type books, so I've put "The Pines" on my wish-list.
Thanks for the request, Robert. I'm a transplant to Jersey and The Pines looks intriguing. I want it but since my wallet is light I have to wait. Stupid rent and electric bill.
It is NOT tacky to recommend your own book! You should check out ~The Drama Unfolds~ by Me/Andrea M. Kulmanhahaha... :~D
Hi Robert and thanks so much for adding me as a friend. I visited your web site...very cool! If you have time, I'd love for you to visit mine, jeanniebarber.com. I'm a novice writer so feel free to make any kind of suggestions, ideas or thoughts to correct it. I’m co-authoring a novel with Patty Wiseman, who I see is also one of your friends. We’ve known each other for over 30 years. While you're there, please sign the guestbook, too! There’s also a link to our book you can click on…clairkelley@synthasite.com. This site is brand new and in the editing stage as is our story. Please visit it as well. Blessings,
