Ultra Deep Field

My third book of poems is now available for pre-order from Brick Road Poetry Press. Books will ship Aug. 28, 2017. Also, if the Ultra Deep Field is purchased along with my previous book, The Prisoners, the publisher is offering a deep discount.

A box of books

Nothing feels better than opening that box and finding a stack of copies of your new book. Well, except maybe narcotics, sex, and when the Parole Board says, "Go home." But, those things are relics of another time. For now ... the box!

The Journey

Ultra Deep Field is a direct follow-up to my second book, The Prisoners. These aren't prison poems per se, but they follow my thought journey from my last year inside, through a year on parole, and into my first year of freedom. I'm overjoyed with how this book turned out. I hope you'll consider pre-ordering a copy.

Language quirks

The ex-journalist in me feels weird asking folks to pre-order my new book. Really, how do you pre-order something? You're still ordering, aren't you? So, I'd rather just say "please order my new book." But, 'pre-order' is the current style.

On that same note, if when I'm gone some literary geniuses publish a book of my work called Posthumous Poems, I will haunt them and curse their families for seven generations.

Nonetheless, laugh with me as, in all seriousness, I say that pre-ordering for my new book is available now:
