| I've read virtually every Elmore Leonard book and this is right up there with the best. It's the righteous melon grower vs the paid hitman. The dialogue makes it so real and the action is fast and frantic. I love how Leonard shows relationships with ...more | |

“Thomas,” the boss said. “How’s your father doing?” “He’s good, Sal.” Always the family questions first. That was Sal Demenci’s style. He could be about to whack someone and he’d ask how the guy’s sister was doing in school.”

“What happened to the perp?” “Perp?” “The piece of crap who tried to kill my wife. Where is he now?” There was a pause, then, “Well, uh, you see, the guy—he’s in the parking lot right now.” “What’s he doing there? Is he being arrested?” “Actually, he’s resting. As a matter of fact, he’s going to be resting for a really long time.” Nick understood the term. “Tommy, by any chance did he stumble upon an open window?”

John, thanks for reaching out to me. I'm not familiar with J.C. Fields, however, I will definitely be checking him out. I'm hoping to have book seven out by the end of the year. If you subscribe to my webpage at garyponzo.com you'll received an email anytime I release a new book. Thanks again,Gary
just finished book six and can not wait to see what happens next. Have Flight 12 in my next few books that I have read. The action in your stories is similar to Sean Kruger stories by J.C. Fields. Are you familiar, if not recommend you check him out.
