A native of Southern California, Christine Pope has been writing stories ever since she commandeered her family’s Smith-Corona typewriter back in the sixth grade. Many reams of dead trees later, she’s happy to announce that her debut novel, Fringe Benefits, was published by Pink Petal Books on April 8, 2010. Her short fiction has appeared in Astonishing Adventures, Luna Station Quarterly, and the new journal of dark fiction, Dark Valentine. Her paranormal novella, Playing With Fire, was released on August 5, 2010.

While Fringe Benefits is a straight contemporary romance, she writes in a variety of genres, including paranormal romance, fantasy, horror, science fiction, and historical romance. She blames this on being easily distracted by brigh

Hi, Fable.

When I published The Zhore Deception, I still wasn't sure what I planned to do with the series, so that's why I said it was on hiatus. However, when it came time to update my website, I'd more or less made the decision that I wouldn't be writing any more books in that series.

In the intervening time, though, I've had a few opportunities come up that would bring an extra marketing push for that series early next year, so for right now, I'm just saying I don't know for sure what I'll be doing with it. I don't have any Gaian Consortium books on my (very tentative!) publishing schedule for next year, but I'll reevaluate if any of those projects end up coming to fruition.

I'm sorry I don't have a more definitive answer for you, but things change fast in this business, so a lot of the time I honestly can't comment on books/projects that are still more than six months out.

Thank you for asking the question!

A Brief Note About The Djinn Wars

After a lot of mulling, I’ve decided to merge the Djinn Dominion books into the Djinn Wars series. I think this will make their connection a little less confusing, especially since the Djinn Dominion books’ only real difference from the main series was the setting (unlike the Witches of Canyon Road series, which differs from the series it’s spun off from both in place and time). I’ve also lowe
