Birthday Musings, Art vs Artist 2025, & Help Save My Studio Closet!

The hubby is recovering well after surgery, while I’m happy to report I’ve finally been able to return to a normal human sleep schedule! The past few weeks have been a flurry of post-con recovery, at-home nurse duty, Halloween, birthday celebration, and adjusting back to the normal grind again. It was a quiet bday this year enjoying a viewing of Del Toro’s Frankenstein with a small group of friend

More of Angela's books…
Jacqueline Carey
“We speak of stories ending, when in truth it is we who end. The stories go on and on.”
Jacqueline Carey, Kushiel's Avatar

Andrzej Sapkowski
“People," Geralt turned his head, "like to invent monsters and monstrosities. Then they seem less monstrous themselves. When they get blind-drunk, cheat, steal, beat their wives, starve an old woman, when they kill a trapped fox with an axe or riddle the last existing unicorn with arrows, they like to think that the Bane entering cottages at daybreak is more monstrous than they are. They feel better then. They find it easier to live.”
Andrzej Sapkowski, The Last Wish

Jeanne d'Arc
“One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying.”
Joan of Arc

Christopher Barzak
“Nothing is more real than the masks we make to show each other who we are.”
Christopher Barzak, The Love We Share Without Knowing

Patrick Rothfuss
“We understand how dangerous a mask can be. We all become what we pretend to be.”
Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind
