John Wick: A Look at the Past...and Future
I’m a HUGE John Wick fan, so it’s great to see all the press around the new movie, which comes out this weekend, March 24. I enjoyed this excellent interview with Chad Stahelski, the director of the series, over at BoxOffice Pro. Lots of interesting insight into how the surprisingly-popular series came together.
Excerpt: “Chad Stahelski’s John Wick entered the market in late October 2014 with unexceptional prospects. It was a midbudget action film, helmed by star Keanu Reeves’s former stunt doubl...

Best Picture - My Final Picks
Okay, I’ve seen all the 2022 Best Picture nominees, and here’s my final ranking, along with links to my reviews of each.
Of the films nominated, I’m have to say my favorite was Everything Everywhere All at Once. It was so innovative and packed full of great visuals, fun twists, and actively interesting and well-written characters. Michelle Yeoh is a marvel in this role, along with Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan.
Second up for me would be Top Gun: Maverick, if only because it “saved Hollywood.” N...
Link: “Jonathan Majors reflects on the sequel’s bad reviews"
Shake it off, Jonathan. You were far and away the best part of the film!
From JoBlo Movies:
“Upon its release, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania became one of the worst-reviewed Marvel Cinematic Universe movies on Rotten Tomatoes. Reviews aren’t everything, but it’s not a great start to Marvel’s new phase. While critics took issue with many elements in Quantumania, most had plenty of praise for Jonathan Majors. The actor plays Kang the Conqueror,...

Link: "Oscar Campaigns Enter Final Weekend..."
There’s a GREAT article over on Deadline chronicling the last-minute talk about who will win and who’s out of the running. Fascinating stuff! From Deadline: “Following a particularly big weekend for what is now the undisputed Oscar Best Picture front-runner, Everything Everywhere All At Once, this veteran pair of publicists who have pretty much seen it all in their careers, and are working on one of the Best Picture nominees, were wondering ...
Link: “The Most Disappointing Marvel Movies”
Wow, the guys over at JoBlo Movies hit the nail on the head with this article. Here are a couple of quotes and then a link to the main article. Check it out!
“While it’s logical to understand that fans can’t expect every movie in the MCU to be fantastic, there have certainly been adaptations that insisted on slipping underneath the bar of expectation. The most recent MCU movie, Ant-Man: Quantumania, has faced criticism about not living up to fans expectations a...
