Is literature going the way of fast food?
It's always interesting to read the reviews! To be honest, it makes me a bit nervous sometimes.... not all of them are flattering - luckily the great majority are quite nice and extremely motivating. And most seem genuine and honest - a great feed-back.
Whereas some readers appreciate the humour and let a story develop (although I freely admit my book is a fairy tale...), I sometimes have the feeling that some readers expect ever more spectacular events to happen on every second page -
which leads me to the thoughts: are Hollywood action blockbusters changing the way we're expected to read and write? Would Jane Austen be dumped into the trash bin nowadays?
Is fast food spreading to literature?
A quick story-to-go as we have not time or patience left ?
your feed-back is appreciated :)
cheers
