Dulce Rodrigues authored sixteen children's books published in several languages, including the three award-winning children's books Once Upon A Time A House, Barry's Adventure, and Il était une Fois une Maison, and a few of her kids' plays were performed in countries in Europe. She also authored two travelogue books and a novel. She speaks six living languages and translates most of her own books. Born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal, she received a scholarship to study at the Goethe-Institut in Germany, and one for a scientific course with the Open University in the UK, and wound up living in many different countries around Europe. But if I'd ever write my memories, then I'd have to write not only one book but a few, and the subjects would be as varied as "love & sex", "woman's rights and emancipation", "travelling", "working in a predomantly male environment", and others. Since I was born, I struggled for equality between men and women. I'm not a feminist, though. For me, feminism is the same as "masculism" - but on the opposite sense. If I don't accept masculism, I cannot accept feminism. Only equal treatment of the genders, i.e. humanism or equalism. (less)

My new kids book in German

"Barrys Abenteuer - ein vierbeiniger Freund" is the German version of my first children's book that was originally published in French in Belgium. There has been an English version, too.
